Watto is a Toydarian character from the Star Wars prequel trilogy, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999).

He is a junk dealer on the desert planet of Tatooine, known for his gruff demeanor and his ownership of Anakin Skywalker and his mother, Shmi. Watto is a shrewd businessman, always looking to make a profit, and utilizes a form of gambling using dice.

Watto, with his distinctive wings and high-pitched voice, represents a prominent figure in Anakin's early life as a slave, ultimately being forced to sell Anakin after losing a bet.
